Need practical test before April 25th - leaving the country, any advice?
Hi everyone, hoping someone here has dealt with a similar situation or has some advice.
I just passed my oral test today. I'm a foreign resident (from Estonia), turning 18 on April 16th, and I'm leaving Mauritius for some time on April 28th. So I need to get my practical driving test done before I leave (for a car) — ideally between April 16-25.
I'm planning to go to the Flacq test centre tomorrow (seems to be a smaller queue) to try and book a date, and I'll be bringing proof of my flight tickets since I've been told that can sometimes help get an earlier date.
Has anyone here managed to get an earlier practical test date? Is the plane ticket thing actually effective? Is there ANY way to get it earlier at all? Logically there should be, so that's why I'm asking.
Any advice, tips or contacts would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

Tricks like plane tickets are not guaranteed. It really depends on the person you're dealing with. If they're having a good day, they may try to do something helpful for you.
What may work in your favour is that you're a young Caucasian female and if you happen to deal with a man, they may go beyond their normal duties in an attempt to "impress" you.
If you're not successful, do call back often as there are often cancellations.
