Lost my new ID card

You need to go to a Police Station to report it. They will issue you with an acknowledgement letter which you need to bring to the Conversion Centre nearest to you. There's a fee to be paid for a replacement digital ID card, it's around Rs350.

Don't forget to bring your other documents as well - birth certificate, proof of address etc

If you lose your new electronic ID card, you need to record a statement of loss at a Police Station, get a corresponding Memo from the Police and then go to a National Identity Card Unit (NICU) to apply for a new card.
